I'll start by saying the customer service fory daughter was amazing. The staff was very sweet with her and her piercers we amazing with her. We had one guest piecer from out of state as our main piercer. When I called, I was told that the tandem piercing for a child was $100, plus the cost of jewelery which starts at $40. I made the appointment based on that information and the high star rating. We met our piercer who asked my daughter to pick out jewelry. We picked out small, modest studs which he said we the $40 ones, which I was fine with. He said he needed to sterilize everything and set-up the room. When we got into the room, he told my daughter everything that was going to happen, and then showed her the goody bag she'd get when we were finished. We did the tandem piercings, and that went well. Then, I went to pay. I was shocked when I was rung up and it was almost $260.00, after I tipped. The piercer rang me up and they they were supposed to have cleared everything with me before hand, which no-one did. I explained what I was told over the phone and thatbI was told I got the $40 jewelry. What I found out, was the jewelry I was charged for was $40 for each earring front and $20 for each back, totalling $100 for one set of earrings. I also found out I was charged $20 for the goody bag, that they peicer said my daughter got when we finished. I was never informed that the "goody bag" was an uncharged. I am a healthcare provider and when I give "goody bags" to my patients, they aren't charged for them. As a person in the health-care industry, I am required to disclose cost transparency for patients care due to the no-surprises billing act. There was literally nothing I could do, after I was at the register. It's not about the money, it's about a complete lack of transparency on how the jewelry pricing works, and I highly discourage telling children they are getting a goody bag that their parent is facing an additional charge for, without that being disclosed first. I called later to ask about the lack of transparency in the pricing and the women was very sweet in breaking things down for me. Maybe there was a breakdown in communication from the guest piercer, but it was at my expense.
